Framing a Japanese sentence is like detective work. You collect the clues along the way and put it all together in the end!!

This section teaches some basic sentences like ‘I am Mr Rao’ , ‘I am 26 yrs old’, ‘I am a girl’, ‘I am a Japanese’…

Here's what you'll learn in this chapter:

EnglishJapanese
Mr/ Mrs San
I am Watashiwa
Age Sai
He/ That Person Anohito
Nationality Jin
Not Dewa Arimasen

Teacher Sensei
I am Mr Rao Watashiwa Rao desu

~~~ Sentence Structure ~~~
The basic structure of Japanese sentence is -
1. Japanese- (subject)(object)(verb). For example - Watashiwa nihon o naraimasu (I study Japanese)
While in English-
2. English- (subject)(verb)(object). For Example - I study Japanese.
KEY POINT: The 'subject' comes first usually (like English) but the verb comes last (not like English). Objects come in between the two.
There is a ‘Quick Review’ at the end of the section to make your learning easier.
